This reminded of a conversation I had with my father one evening. He said when certain methods, beliefs or ideals don’t work well for you and your life, then maybe it’s time for a paradigm shift. Society has created many ‘life models’ based on faith, dependency, politics and control. We need to further educate ourselves into knowing our own self structure and carving life models that actually suit us, not what society imposes.
We revolve around different environments and each and every one of them teaches us things about ourselves. Let them awaken every shape and curve our lives must have in order to ultimately reach a state closest to our goals – may it be happiness and good health – or wealth and power.
Each individual is unique. Fact. We have different mental, emotional and physical abilities and limitations. Fact. Then isn’t this a dead giveaway that we should have different paradigms to follow and achieve?
It may look as though my point suggests deviation from ‘normalcy’ and ‘conformity’. Those are totally different issues. We can all be different yet exist in unison by living in kindness and compassion along the way.
If only life isn’t so harsh and bitter then it would be easy. Unfortunately negativity and bitterness multiplies in a Nano-second. But so does happiness. Let’s choose the latter.
Let us know ourselves in order to better ourselves.
