Pain and Solitude

IMG_0364-0.JPG

Have you ever felt pain so deep you are unable to speak of it?

It sort of swallows your whole being. It paralyzes you and takes control of your body and soul.

It cuts right through the deepest layer of your emotions that it stops you from defining it. It seems the only way to mourn it is by way of solitude. In silence, you acknowledge every pinch, every cut and the full weight of its existence.

You close your eyes and take it all in until it exhausts your body. You let the tears fall down your gaunt face untill you fall asleep.

After a while, you open your eyes, they wander around your sacred space and for a brief moment, you think you are fine… Until it starts hurting again…

And so you get up and keep on walking down the long, dark and narrow road with a drop of faith left in your pocket, hoping you’ll reach the end with the promise of light…
